There's a map for that.

It appears that musician/activist M.I.A. wrote a song about her 3-hour tech support call experience with Verizon. The best part? She got some of the tech operators to sing the hook. I have to hear this!

Oh snap, son!

http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/01/12/conan-obrien-says-he-wont-do-tonight-show-following-leno/

This is why I love Conan. People have said that they don't "get" his jokes, that he's silly, but the man knows how to construct a show. He knows that you don't build a loyal following overnight, but that you have to introduce people to jokes, build characters, let the audience get to know you and your humor and maybe build an inside joke or two.

NBC's boardroom is clearly flailing and overreacting to numbers in attempt to remain relevant. Sometimes the best thing you can do is nothing. Let it build. Let it breathe.

Just chill, NBC.

  3. Amel Larrieux 15
  4. Elzhi 14

108 plays of Slum Vil. Yeah, I got into a bad mood and what better while being angry than the Slum *wry smile*. Can't wait for Esthero's new product, but Dr. Dre is producing so who knows when we'll get it! Zing! Amel is perfect background music and I don't remember much about her, haha. Elzhi's Leftovers Mixtape and some De La, Blu and other hip hop round out the rest (with some Mary J sprinkled in).

02 - Cloud 9 (Clean) by sgoob

02 - Cloud 9 (Clean) by sgoob

I woke up singing this song today. It's definitely one of those "happy day" songs where you're in a good mood and just keep humming it to yourself. Gotta love Dilla beats (Dilla Dilla... beats... beats...!)

Have a great day peeps!

This is what I've been playing this week. It's kind of a return to my classics, so to speak. Horace Silver is a favorite and I just picked up some "new" stuff by him. Souls had a new project and I heard good things about it. Had to pick it up!

This particular chart finds me all over the place (as usual). I'm trying to get back into the creative process and listening to old favorites gets me in a comfortable place. Tried and true sounds that plant a creative seed. This blog is part of that process.

Let's get back in the lab.
